I use a variety of light sources ranging from desk lamps, fluorescent lights, natural light, clamp lamps, external flash and anything else I have near me. Throughout my four years in undergraduate, I followed the photographs of Valeria Heine, who is a portrait photographer based in Peru who shoots using natural lighting and focuses on quiet moments. When I started using my camera manually, I noticed I was able to control the tonality of light that I always appreciated in Heine’s work. Personally, I find that lighting controls my emotions so when I create art, I use light to evoke emotion.
